Mozart
Bassoon Concerto
in B flat major, K.191
250th anniversary
1774-2024
A special invitation from Laurence Perkins to amateur orchestras throughout the U.K.
"This wonderfully joyous Concerto by the 18-year-old Mozart is one of the best-known of all solo pieces for the bassoon.
I am celebrating its 250th anniversary by offering performances throughout 2024 and 2025 at a highly affordable rate to any U.K. amateur orchestra that would like to include this Concerto in their concert season.
In addition, I will include a short bonus piece (about 5-6 minutes) if desired, and I also offer free loan of score and orchestral parts for two months before the performance date.
Many of you will know the enthusiasm I have for working with amateur musicians, in particular through my numerous 'Wind Serenades' courses over the past 20 years. This is a continuation of that commitment, a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and share a truly great piece with musicians and audience members. If you are interested, do please contact me!"
